Endoscopic Optic Nerve Decompression

This is a procedure done in cases in which the optic nerve is compressed (e.g. Following trauma, tumors etc.). The procedure is done intranasally with the help of an endoscope. The surgery is performed under general anesthesia. The procedure carries a much lesser morbidity as compared to the transcranial route.
