Endoscopic Endonasal Dacrocystorhinostomy

This is a procedure done for excessive flow of tears from the eye (epiphora) due to a block in the tear duct (nasolacrimal duct). The procedure can be performed under local or general anesthesia and is done intranasally with no external incision. A lacrimal stent may be placed in some cases when indicated. This stent is usually removed after about 6-8 weeks.
